Wife convicted of attempting to kill her husband in Shawnee
A Shawnee woman was convicted Thursday in the attempted killing of her husband last summer.
A Johnson County jury found 51-year-old Denise Davey guilty of attempted first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. Sentencing was scheduled for March 10.
Her 69-year-old husband was severely beaten in June at his home in the 5400 block of Flint Street. Two other suspects, including Denise Davey’s daughter, face charges in the case. A fourth suspect pleaded guilty last week to attempted murder.
