Rupert Grint says Shia LeBouf dropped acid and got naked to prepare for role
Here's a shocker: Rupert Grint, a former co-star of "retired" actor Shia LaBeouf, said the actor dropped acid to prepare for a role in "Charlie Countryman."
"He smashed the place up, got naked and kept seeing this owl. If anything will make you not do drugs, it's watching that," Grint told the Guardian.
The movie was based on LaBeouf's character Charlie Countryman, who dabbles with drugs and gets tangled up in trouble after traveling to Romania.
Problem is, the drugs Charlie dabbled in did not include acid.
"In the script, it's Carpathian ecstasy, a special hostel ecstasy that exists in maybe just Bucharest," director Fredrik Bond told Vulture. "So, Shia said he took acid? I didn't know he went out and said that. But it was always ecstasy in the script."
Looks like LaBeouf used the wrong "method" in his method acting.
