One dies, others injured in chain-reaction crash in south Kansas City
One person was killed and as many as three others were injured during a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 435 in southern Kansas City overnight.
The pileup occurred about midnight Tuesday along southbound I-435 near Bannister Road.
Witnesses told police that a driver who was speeding and weaving in an out of traffic caused the crash, according to media reports.
All lanes of southbound I-435 were closed for nearly three hours while authorities investigated.
The crash was cleared about 3:15 a.m.
