Multi-vehicle crash ties up northeast corner of downtown loop
A multi-vehicle crash Monday morning tied up traffic in the northeast corner of Kansas City’s downtown loop.
The crash occurred about 7:15 a.m. and shut the two left lanes of westbound Interstate 70 at the Oak Street/Grand Avenue/Walnut Street exit.
The crash caused traffic headed into downtown Kansas City along southbound Interstate 29/35 to back up to Missouri 210 in North Kansas City.
Emergency crews hoped to have the wreckage cleared and the lanes reopened by 8:15 a.m.
