Three injured in Independence assault with a vehicle

Independence police are investigating a reported assault with a vehicle in which three people were injured, two of them seriously.

The incident was reported about 6:50 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of North Main Street.

Independence police tweeted the incident started over a disturbance involving a knife.
