Man gets 19 years in Platte County cocaine case
A California man arrested while smuggling more than 13 pounds of cocaine in Platte County has been sentenced to 19 years in prison.
Platte County prosecutors said that 37-year-old Marcos Gonzalez of California was arrested last April after a Platte County sheriff’s deputy found the drugs during a traffic stop.
Gonzalez was driving a rented box van. The drugs were found inside the lining of three suitcases, prosecutors said, and had an estimated street value of about $600,000.
