Robbery victim in Grandview shoots suspect

A man being robbed at gunpoint in his home in Grandview on Thursday shot his own weapon and believes he hit one of the robbers, police said.

The victim called 911 to report an armed robbery and shooting about 6:20 p.m. in the 12300 block of North Third Street.

The victim of the robbery was not injured. The robbers, described as two men in their 20s, fled and are being sought by police. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tips Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
