Light snow, freezing drizzle possible for Wednesday evening

It might get a little messy Wednesday night, when light snow and freezing drizzle could fall across the Kansas City region.

The precipitation, however, isn’t expected to amount to much — less than an inch of snow with little to no ice accumulation, according to the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill, Mo.

Highs Wednesday are expected to reach the mid-20s to lower 30s. Meanwhile, Thursday will be slightly warmer.

Another round of freezing rain will be possible early Friday. That’s expected to change over to rain during the late morning hours, according to the National Weather Service.
