Blue Springs woman killed while walking across Liberty street

A Blue Springs woman crossing a road in Liberty was killed when she was struck by a vehicle Friday night.

Liberty police said Madeline Garman, 60, a pedestrian was attempting to cross Mill Street at the intersection of Main Street, about 8:55 p.m. when she was hit by an eastbound vehicle.

Garman was taken by ambulance to Liberty Hospital, where she died from her injuries, police said.

The traffic accident remains under investigation.
