Bleep this: ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ sets record for f-bombs
If “The Wolf of Wall Street” doesn’t win any Oscars, it always has this honor to fall back on: A record for the most f-bombs dropped in an American feature film.
(NSFW) counted them – 506 in all during the 180-minute movie.
That beats the previous record for a non-documentary, the 435 f-words lobbed about in Spike Lee’s 1999 film, “Summer of Sam.”
This is not new territory for director Martin Scorsese. He has two other movies on Wikipedia’s Top 20 F-Word list, including “Casino” – 422 f-bombs – and “Goodfellas,” with 300.
They don’t even come close, though, to the champ of all champs, a 2005 comedy documentary that used the f-word 857 times in 93 minutes.
The movie?
“F**k”
Go figure.
