Warm weekend ahead; low 80s for Chiefs football game
Sweater weather can wait.
Kansas City will be blanketed with near perfect weather: dry and sunny with temperatures well above normal for late October.
The weekend gets off to a good start Friday and Saturday with highs likely in the middle to upper 70s. Lows will fall into the 50s on both nights.
On Sunday, fans headed to Arrowhead Stadium might want to wear sunscreen and T-shirts because highs could reach into the lower 80s during the Kansas City Chiefs football game against the St.. Louis Rams.
The next chance for rain will be Monday night into Tuesday.
The National Weather Service pointed out on its Facebook page Thursday that many locations in the Kansas City area are well past their normal first-freeze date.
The mild conditions this weekend are expected to continue into next week. A freeze is still not expected for at least the next seven days.
