Pedestrian sustains life-threatening head injury after being struck by city truck in Kansas City
A pedestrian sustained a life-threatening head injury when hit by a city truck early Wednesday in Kansas City.
The incident happened about 6:40 a.m. at Gregory Boulevard and Prospect Avenue. The pedestrian remained conscious after being struck, police said.
A witness told police that it appeared the pedestrian stepped in front of the vehicle. The witness did not know whether it was intentional or just inattention, police said.
