Kmart, Joe Boxer ‘Jingle’ their bells, some customers offended (with poll)

My goodness, the things that get people’s undies in a bunch these days. A saucy little Christmas commercial from Kmart and Joe Boxer has some customers up in arms – and others laughing.

The new ad, called “Show Your Joe,” shows a group of guys in boxer shorts shaking their, uh, underalls to “Jingle Bells.”

Funny?

Not to some customers who rushed right to Kmart’s Facebook page after the ad first aired over the weekend. Comments both pro and con are still pouring in.

“I hate this commercial, Christmas is suppose (sic) to be about JESUS, plain and simple, please get some morals.”“I saw your new Jingle Bells commercial last night on TV and am disgusted as I find it very offensive. I always regarded Kmart as a family department store. Therefore, I am disappointed in your decision to air such a filthy commercial and saddened that your wholesome image has taken a downward turn.”
“LOVE the Joe Boxer commercial! Yes it's ok for half-naked Victoria's Secret models to be bouncing down the runway spilling out of their bras, but when a playful commercial featuring hot guys is aired, all the right wing "religious" conservatives go nuts. This is 2013 not 1913. I'm going to buy some Joe Boxers today!”“WHAT A GREAT COMMERCIAL, I LOVE IT, and for reference, I'm 62 years old and have kept my sense of humor and my eye for hotties!”

A Kmart spokesperson told The Huffington Post on Monday that the ad was meant to playfully showcase Joe Boxers, which are obviously sold at Kmart.

“We regret if some people found the commercial offensive, as that was not our intent,” he said.

No apology needed here.

We laughed so hard we shipped our pants.
