Kanye West and Kim Kardashian engaged: Would you watch wedding on TV? (poll)
Guess Kim Kardashian will always remember her 33rd birthday. On Monday night, the reality star’s boyfriend and father of her child, Kanye West, surprised her with a marriage proposal after first getting mama Kris Jenner's blessing.
E!, home of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” was
that Kanye surprised Kim by renting out the entire AT Park in San Francisco - home of the Giants - and proposing in front of family and friends.
This will be his first marriage, her third.
A few details leaked out on Twitter and E!: A 50-piece orchestra played Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful" and Keri Hilson's "Knock You Down" with Ne-Yo and Kanye. The field's jumbo screen flashed a sign that said: "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!"
Kanye, ever the gentleman (and showman), proposed on one knee.
Surprise guests rushed out from their hiding place in one of the dugouts after Kim said yes. (We're kinda shocked that Jesus wasn't there, too. A mock savior made a surprise appearance at Kanye's show in Seattle on Saturday.)
The whole share-life’s-most-precious-moments-in-a-stadium trend for the couple began in December when Kanye told a concert crowd in Atlantic City that he and Kim were going to have a baby.
Daughter North “Nori” West was born on June 15. She was not present when papa proposed.
Who wants to bet that Kanye will pick the wedding gown? In an interview in London’s Sunday Times style supplement, Kim talked about how he helps her get dressed.
“You want your guy to think you're really hot," she said. “I'll put something on, and he'll say, 'No, that doesn't look good,’ and I'll trust him.”
We doubt that we’ll be seeing this wedding on Kim’s show. That last one in 2011 – to NBA player Kris Humphries – didn’t turn out so well. The marriage infamously lasted just 72 days.
And in related news, Humphries last week auctioned off the massive 16-carat diamond engagement ring he gave Kim for $749,000.
E! News reports that Kim's new bling is a flawless 15-carat diamond by celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz.
