Perceptive Software owner buys Pacsgear for $54 million
Lexmark International Inc. announced Thursday it had acquired Pacsgear, a provider of ways for healthcare providers to capture, manage and share medical images and documents.
Lexmark paid $54 million for the company, which will report to Perceptive Software, also owned by Lexmark and based in Shawnee. Pacsgear will work with Perceptive’s current healthcare content management and work-flow solutions.
Pacsgear has business in 50 countries and with about half of all U.S. hospitals including Kaiser Permanente, Mount Sinai Hospital and the University of Chicago Medical Center.
