Gunman robs midtown restaurant, puts workers in freezer

A gunman robbed a Midtown restaurant early Wednesday and forced two employees into the freezer.

The man walked into the Huddle House at 3959 Broadway about 6 a.m. and asked for a job application. When an employee fetched the application, the man pulled a gun and put it to the employee’s back. He forced two employees to the floor while he stole money from the cash register. He then marched the employees back to the freezer.

The gunman fled before the employees freed themselves and called police.
