Roadwork to close I-35/I-435 ramps in Johnson County overnight starting tonight
Drivers traveling near the Interstate 35 and 435 interchange in Johnson County will want to allow extra time this week.
Starting tonight, crews will close ramps in the area so that temporary asphalt and barrier work can be completed.
The ramps from eastbound and westbound I-435 to northbound I-35 will be closed at 10 p.m. tonight and Tuesday. They will reopen at 5 a.m. the next day. During the closures, traffic will detour north on U.S. 69 or south on I-35 to the 119th Street exit to access northbound I-35.
The ramps from eastbound and westbound I-435 to southbound I-35 will be closed at 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. They will reopen at 5 a.m. the next day. During the closures, traffic will detour north on I-35 to the 95th Street interchange to access southbound I-35.
