Police identify man found dead in burning northeast Kansas City home
Police on Monday identified the man found dead inside a burning northeast Kansas City home as 61-year-old William P. Simmons.
Firefighters responded about 8 a.m. Sunday to a house fire in the 300 block of Oakley Avenue. After extinguishing the flames, which were contained to a bedroom, firefighters found Simmons’ body.
Police have said Simmons’ death is suspicious. They were not releasing any further information about the investigation.
