Broadway Bridge will be closed Saturday and Sunday for air show

The Broadway Bridge and U.S. 169 will be closed in both directions between the river and Missouri 9 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday because of the Kansas City Aviation Expo and Air Show at Wheeler Downtown Airport.

There is no public parking for the air show at the airport.

The only access to the air show will be by free shuttle bus. The north route will pick up and return passengers at Briarcliff Village, 4100 N. Mulberry Drive. The south route will pick up and return passengers to ATA bus stops along Grand Boulevard between Pershing Road and Interstate 70.

Union Station is the suggested stop for passengers with disabilities. There will be no buses accessible for disabled people on the north route.

The shuttles will be yellow air show school buses.
