Newlyweds Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will face scheduling conflict on Emmys night
And just like that, the work worlds of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will crash head-on in September, thanks to the Emmy Awards and the new NFL season.
Swift was nominated for five Emmys on Wednesday, her first Emmy nods in 10 years.
The Emmys air live on Monday, Sept. 14, beginning at 7 p.m. Central.
At the same time, Kelce will be playing against the Denver Broncos in the Chiefs’ first game of the regular season at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The primetime game is slated for 7:15 p.m.
So fans will have to wait a little longer to see the newlyweds make their first official red carpet appearance together.
And who knows which event Swift will choose to attend, given that this could be Kelce’s last NFL season.
“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour — The Final Show” received nominations for best variety special (prerecorded), best directing for a variety special, picture editing, sound mixing, and technical direction and camerawork.
The concert film, which debuted Dec. 12 on Disney+, shows Swift performing the last show of her historic Eras Tour, the highest-grossing tour of all time.
She followed it up with a six-episode docuseries, “The End of an Era,” that offered “an intimate look at Taylor’s life as her tour made headlines and thrilled fans around the world.” Kelce appeared in the docuseries.
She took home her first Emmy in 2015 for outstanding creative achievement in interactive media for “AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience,” a mobile app that let fans immerse themselves into her “Blank Space” music video.
Kelce attended the iHeart Radio Musc Awards with Swift in March but did not walk the red carpet with her.
