Police investigating construction worker struck by vehicle in Prairie Village

The Prairie Village Police Department is investigating an injury accident at West 79th and Ash streets. At around 11:05 a.m. Monday officers responded to an accident where a construction worker was struck by a vehicle.
The street was expected to be closed for a few hours, according to a news release from the police.
The construction worker was taken to a nearby hospital and is in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, according to the release.
