Watch KC Police Chief Darryl Forté feel the force in a Blue Angels jet
As the Kansas City police chief, Darryl Forté has access to some cool vehicles: fast cars, cool bikes and a helicopter or two.
Watch as the chief goes up, up and away, over downtown and, in a matter of minutes, over the Lake of the Ozarks before returning to Wheeler Downtown Airport. The flight was on Wednesday.
Very impressive, chief. No vomiting, and not even an “Oh damn!”
The KC Aviation Expo & Airshow is this weekend at the downtown airport, and the flight formations of the Blue Angels, representing the Navy and Marine Corps, are one of the main attractions.
Grounded attractions include a variety of aircraft, inflated bounce tents, live music and food vendors.
At 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Broadway and country music singer Laura Bell Bundy will sing the national anthem and will perform a 45-minute concert at noon.
The show starts at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Admission is $17 online or $20 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free.
