UMKC criminal justice professor has been missing since Friday. Have you seen her?

The Kansas City Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a missing person who was last seen early Friday morning.

Kristina Proctor was last seen around midnight Friday near the intersection of W. 41st and Bell streets in the Volker neighborhood. This is a block from the University of Kansas Hospital.

The University of Missouri-Kansas City Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology lists Proctor as an assistant teaching professor. She previously taught at Avila University, according to Proctor’s personal website.

Proctor is 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 240 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes, according to the police news release.

Police say the white woman was last wearing a blue floral dress.

A woman who identified herself as Proctor’s girlfriend posted on Facebook that Proctor was last seen wearing white Birkenstock sandals.

She also goes by Kris, according to the girlfriend.

Proctor’s family is worried about her health and safety. According to them, she has diagnosed medical conditions.

Anyone with information on Proctor’s whereabouts is urged to call 911 or the Kansas City Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit at 816-234-5043.
