Kansas City man killed in motorcycle crash on I-470 ramp in Lee’s Summit
A Kansas City man died Wednesday night after his motorcycle crashed on an Interstate 470 ramp near Pryor Road in Lee’s Summit, police said.
First responders were called to the area around 6 p.m. after a report of a two-vehicle crash, the Lee’s Summit Police Department said in a news release. An initial investigation indicated that the motorcyclist was headed east on the Interstate 470 ramp when he crashed into the back of a truck, police said.
The motorcycle rider was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The man was identified as 34-year-old Edward M. Strickland, of Kansas City.
The driver of the truck was evaluated by medics and declined to be taken to a hospital.
