The Missouri State Highway Patrol was investigating a police shooting that followed a domestic violence call in Sedalia Wednesday, the patrol said.

The patrol said the shooting near East 16th Street and South Garfield Avenue involved the Sedalia Police Department. An officer and a suspect were both taken to area hospitals to have their injuries evaluated, the patrol said.
