Missouri State Highway Patrol investigating Sedalia police shooting
The Missouri State Highway Patrol was investigating a police shooting that followed a domestic violence call in Sedalia Wednesday, the patrol said.
The patrol said the shooting near East 16th Street and South Garfield Avenue involved the Sedalia Police Department. An officer and a suspect were both taken to area hospitals to have their injuries evaluated, the patrol said.
Sgt. Justin Ewing, a spokesman for the state patrol, said in an email that police were initially responding to a domestic violence call. He said investigators were at the scene and gathering information.
The time and circumstances of the shooting were not immediately clear.
