A Leavenworth man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter related to a fatal shooting Tuesday.

Tyren Robert Teasdale Bradley, 20, was charged Wednesday. He’s being held in the Leavenworth County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday and again on May 20, according to court records.

Prosecutors accuse Bradley of “unlawfully, feloniously, and recklessly” killing Emmanuel Frank Dickens, Jr., an online court database shows.

Leavenworth County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 14700th block of Hillside Road around 3 p.m. Tuesday on a report of someone with a gunshot wound. Once deputies arrived, they found multiple people at the resident and a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the torso, an emailed release from the sheriff’s office said.

“Individuals at the home were engaged in CPR regarding the subject,” the release said.

Dickens was pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooting remains under investigation, Maj. James Sherley, of the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office, told The Star.

“Indications are it’s an accidental shooting,” Sherley said.
