Anyone who has ever struggled to collapse a stubborn, tricky baby stroller can empathize with what two KCI baggage handlers went through recently.
The two men spent several minutes trying to figure out how to fold up a baby stroller before they found the right buttons to push.
A group of passengers watched the struggle from the jet bridge above the tarmac. Passenger Jason Falen, on his way to Denver, recorded the scene.
“I only caught the very end,” he told Storyful. “They had been trying to figure it out for five minutes, and it was comedy gold.”
Falen’s short clip shows the passengers watching intently and offering commentary.
“Well, there’s two little buttons on the side. Like, does he not see those?” one woman can be heard wondering.
The group cheered when the handlers pushed the right buttons and the stroller collapsed. One of the handlers applauded, too.
On social media, parents who have been-there-done-that sympathized with the handlers. Some even tried to guess what brand that stroller was.
“Yep, that’s a Nuna!” one X user declared, name-checking a high-end stroller that costs $1,300 in its most luxurious configuration.
Thus, those handlers can take comfort in knowing that the struggle is real, evidenced by the crop of TikToks showing parents second-guessing their purchases.
Maybe some day a stroller maker will make one that doesn’t require NASA credentials to operate.
@tinytoesandfluffybros so many parents struggle with strollers simply because no one actually teaches you how to use them. these are the most common mistakes i see that can make outings way harder than they need to be 👇🏼 not practicing at home first 🏠 most strollers fold differently, and learning it for the first time in a parking lot with a crying baby is a recipe for stress. practicing a few times at home makes a huge difference. forcing the fold 🚫 strollers usually have a release button, lever, or strap. forcing it closed without fully releasing the lock can damage the frame and make it harder to fold over time. forgetting to lock the wheels 🔒 unlocked wheels can make folding awkward and unstable, and can even make it harder to safely lift the stroller into your trunk. overloading the basket 🧺 leaving items underneath while folding can jam the frame and prevent the stroller from collapsing smoothly. not checking trunk space before buying 🚗 some strollers look compact in store but don’t actually fit well in smaller cars. always test the fold and trunk fit before committing. small changes like these can make getting out of the house feel so much smoother and less overwhelming 🤍 we love our @uppababy vista v3 🫶🏼 save this for later and share with a new parent who needs stroller tips ✨ 🫶🏼 follow for baby guidance from a nicu trained nurse #newmom#baby#strollers♬ original sound - Katie | RN + Mom Life
