Taylor Swift will attend her 1st awards show of year at iHeartRadio Music Awards

It’s been three years since Taylor Swift has attended the iHeartRadio Music Awards in person. The drought ends Thursday.

Swifties have been giddy since last week when the announcement came that Swift will make a special appearance at this year’s event, which just happens to be the show’s 13th year. (Coincidence? If you don’t know by now that 13 is her favorite number, well, you haven’t been paying attention.)

This will be Swift’s first awards show appearance of 2026. She last made a red-carpet splash at the Grammy Awards last year when she wore a glittery, Chiefs-red Vivienne Westwood minidress with a thigh chain featuring a “T” charm created with Lorraine Schwartz.

Swifties are on high alert.

Will she wear something in homage to Elizabeth Taylor, the inspiration for her latest radio single?

Does she have a special announcement in store?

She won’t be performing Thursday, but she’s got several chances to take the stage with more nominations than anyone. She appeared virtually last year to accept the first “Tour of the Century” award for the Eras tour.

Swift is nominated for nine awards, including Song of the Year, Artist of the Year, Pop Song of the Year, Favorite TikTok Dance, Best Lyrics, Best Music Video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” as well as Pop Artist of the Year and Favorite On Screen for the “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era” streaming special.

Even her costumes are up for an award: Favorite Tour Style for the Eras Tour.

Speaking of her fabulous wardrobe, fans won’t know until Thursday whether she will walk the red carpet and whether a certain someone could show up with her.

Speaking of fiance Travis Kelce, he made news of his own by officially reupping with the Chiefs on Monday.

They have been low-profile in recent months, so any official appearance of the duo will be like seeing unicorns walking down the street.

They managed to secretly slide into Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s famous post-Oscars Gold Party. An insider blabbed to People that Swift and Kelce “mingled with Beyoncé.”

As the world knows, Swift and Kelce are planning a big soiree of their own. Latest rumors say they’re getting married June 13 before his football obligations get in the way.

Ludacris hosts this year’s iHeartRadio show, where Miley Cyrus will receive the Innovator Award and John Mellencamp and his little pink houses will be given the Icon Award.

Beginning at 7 p.m. CST, the show will broadcast live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. It will also air live on iHeartRadio stations and on the iHeartRadio app.
