KC-area police investigate death of juvenile found unresponsive Sunday afternoon

Detectives with the Kansas City, Kansas, police department are investigating the death of a juvenile Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to a home in the 700 block of Pacific Avenue on the report of an unresponsive juvenile, according to a KCK police news release. The report came in at 4:45 p.m. and the juvenile later was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The age of the juvenile and circumstances of the death are not known. A police spokeswoman said no new information was available Monday morning.

This incident is being investigated by the KCKPD major case unit. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline, 816-474-TIPS (8477).
