This country music star had to cancel his previous Kansas City-area appearance in 2025 because of health issues. Now, he’ll make his return to the region’s newest music venue.

Luke Bryan, a five-time Entertainer of the Year winner with the Academy of Country Music Awards, will perform on Thursday, July 9 at Morton Amphitheater as part of his Word On The Street Tour.

He’s the latest musician to announce a show at the new 16,000-seat Live Nation venue, located at 6150 NW Music Blvd. in Riverside, off Horizons Parkway and Interstate 635.

Fans who join Bryan’s Nut House fan club can buy tickets at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27 on Ticketmaster. The general public can buy tickets at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30.

“Get ready to party y’all,” Bryan said on social media. “Word On The Street Tour is comin’ to your city this summer.”

Joining the Georgia native in Riverside are country musicians Shane Profitt, Lauren Watkins, RaeLynn and disc jockey DJ ROCK.

Bryan’s 2013 album “Crash My Party” received the first Album of the Decade award from the Academy of Country Music in 2019. His latest album, “Mind Of A Country Boy,” was released in 2024. He’s also a judge on “American Idol,” which returns Monday, Jan. 26 on ABC.

Some of his biggest hits include “Country Girl (Shake It For Me),” “Play It Again,” and “That’s My Kind Of Night.” He also was a featured guest on Florida Georgia Line’s hit song “This Is How We Roll.”
