Highway patrol, KCPD locate two siblings last seen in Kansas City’s Northland

Kansas City police and the Missouri State Highway Patrol have located a young brother and sister last seen in north Kansas City. A man is in custody following the incident.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued an AMBER Alert for the siblings around 9:50 p.m. Thursday.

Maka and Yaqud Issack were last seen around 6:30 p.m. Thursday near Northeast Barry Road and Maple Woods College Road, Kansas City Police Department Capt. Jake Becchina said in a news release Wednesday.

Maka, 10, has black hair, brown eyes and weighs around 70 pounds, Becchina said. She was last seen wearing a red jacket, yellow dress and pink and white shoes.

Yaqud, 8, has black hair, brown eyes and weighs around 90 pounds, Becchina said. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, red sweatpants, black jacket and black shoes.

The siblings were last known to be in a 2017 silver two-door Infiniti with Missouri temporary tag 008DMLF, Becchina said. The car is being driven by Bryson T. Lyrick, 27.

Lyrick was last seen wearing a black jacket, a red hooded sweatshirt, jeans and blue shoes, Becchina said.
