Iconic Kansas City brewery expands outdoor patio before 2026 FIFA World Cup
Boulevard Brewing Co. is expanding, just in time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The well-known Kansas City brewery announced in a press release Wednesday, Jan. 14, the construction of a new, second-story outdoor bar and patio space at the Boulevard Tours & Rec Center. Construction is already underway, and is set to be completed in the summer.
Called Boulevard Yard, the space will feature a mix of outdoor seating, views of the city skyline and a new indoor/outdoor bar serving a full range of Boulevard beers and beverages. The space will also have multiple large-screen TVs for special programming or watching your favorite teams.
The company has dreamed of having its own backyard hangout at the brewery for a while, and the upgraded patio will accomplish that, said Amber Ayres, direction of consumer experience at Boulevard.
The second-story addition will add more than triple the current space on the patio, and she’s hopeful it’ll be a welcoming spot for visitors traveling to Kansas City for any of the six World Cup matches, the first of which will be June 16.
“With the world’s largest soccer tournament coming to Kansas City this summer, we’re excited to show off our beloved city to both locals and newcomers,” Ayres said in a statement.
