One killed in Johnson County wreck after driver veers off highway, hits pillar

Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating a one person, one vehicle crash that killed the driver in Lenexa on Friday morning.

Troopers responded to southbound Interstate 435 at 95th Street at 6:46 a.m., according to highway patrol spokesperson Tiffany Baylark. The driver drifted off the highway and struck the bridge pillar for unknown reasons, Baylark said.

The driver was pronounced dead on scene and authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
