When you’re wanting to fill your bags with some trick or treat candy on Halloween why not go right to the candy source?
That’s what many trick or treaters did Friday when they did some trick or treating at the Russell Stover Chocolates headquarters at the corner of Oak Street and Volker Boulevard in Kansas City.
Russell Stover employees have been donning Halloween costumes and inviting Halloween revelers to swing by the corporate offices for more than 20 years now. The employees hand out candy on the front lawn of the offices.
According to a release from the company, around 3,500 pieces of candy are handed out each year at the event.
Russell Stover also partnered with KCATA on Friday to donate more of their candy treats to hand out at stops along the KC Streetcar route.
Here are photos from the event at the company’s headquarters.
