Shawnee police investigating car crash that injured 2 pedestrians

The Shawnee Police Department is investigating a car crash that injured two pedestrians Tuesday.

Shawnee emergency personnel responded to the 12800 block of West 75th Street around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on reports of a crash involving a vehicle and two pedestrians, according to a Facebook post from the Shawnee Police Department.

A preliminary investigation led by the Shawnee Police Department revealed a driver lost control of a vehicle before leaving the roadway and striking two men on a sidewalk, according to the post.

Both men were transported to an area hospital in stable condition, according to the post. The department’s traffic safety unit is investigating the crash.
