Trick or treat? Which Chiefs wide receiver says he doesn’t eat green vegetables?
How much do Chiefs wide receivers love candy?
One of them eats candy every night before bed. (Here’s hoping the Chiefs have a great dental plan.)
Another thing about Chiefs wide receivers and their sweet tooths: They’re not big fans of chocolate.
These and other fun facts are revealed in a TikTok the team posted ahead of “Monday Night Football” in which Rashee Rice and his teammates made a viral TikTok candy salad.
If case you’ve never seen one, a candy salad is created by a group of people who take turns dumping their favorite unwrapped candies into a communal container — a bowl, plastic storage bin, etc. — to create a sweet melange like a salad.
The Chiefs players took turns dumping their favorite sweet treats into an orange Halloween candy bowl while revealing fun facts about themselves.
Rashee Rice went first, dumping a bag of fun-size Snickers into the empty bowl. People noticed how he broke the Candy Salad Rule: no wrapped candies.
“Fun fact about me,” he said. “I eat rice before every game day.”
Teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster also dumped wrapped candies — Mamba Fruit Chews — into the bowl.
“Fun fact about me? I am the best video game player on this team,” he said with the finality of a mic drop.
An equally confident Xavier Worthy said this about himself: “Fun fact about me, I’m good at everything.”
No argument here. His fashion is always on point.
Worthy dumped a big bag of Skittles into the bowl, eagerly watching the colorful candies clatter into the bowl.
Jason Brownlee contributed a bag of sticky, chewy, sour Airheads Xtremes. “Fun fact about me, I’m from Mississippi. I love to do country things and I love music.”
“Him and Xavier Legette gotta be from the same town,” someone commented on TikTok, referencing his accent.
(Nope. The Carolina Panthers wide receiver is a South Carolina native.)
Teammate Tyquan Thornton also dumped a tray of Xtremes into the bowl. They fell out of the package in a big, sticky clump.
His fun fact?
“I eat a lot of candy before bed,” he said.
Like his teammate Rice, Nikko Remigio is also a fan of, well, rice.
He eats it every day, he said as he dumped a bag of Sour Patch Kids into the bowl. Remigio’s wife, professional athlete Maureen Remigio, does almost all the cooking in their house as she builds a large social media following for her kitchen skills.
On Monday she posted another game-day video of herself prepping Nikko’s pre-game meal — savory, not sweet.
“Fun fact about me? I eat rice every day,” Remigio said, releasing Sour Patch Kids into the mix..
One last fun fact about these players?
And it’s no trick, cross our heart.
“My name is Jimmy Holiday,” No. 82 said before releasing a bag of sour Haribo Goldbears into the bowl. “Fun fact about me is, I don’t eat no green vegetables.”
