It’s not the “Year 3000,” but the Jonas Brothers are celebrating 20 years of music in Kansas City Tuesday, Oct. 7.

The New Jersey-born pop band from brothers Kevin, Joe and Nick bring their Jonas20: Living the Dream tour to T-Mobile Center. They last played in the venue in 2019.

The tour, celebrating the brothers’ group and solo contributions to pop music over the last two decades, took off in August.

The Jonas Brothers got their start in 2005 when they signed a record deal with Columbia Records, but later signed to Disney-owned record label Hollywood Records in 2007, a fitting partnership since their music had been featured on many Disney properties, including premiering the music video for “Year 3000” on the Disney Channel. The brothers became Disney mainstays, starring in the channel-original film “Camp Rock” in 2008.

After the band split in 2013, they reunited in 2019 with the hit song “Sucker,” signed with Republic Records and have three albums since. Their newest album, “Greetings From Your Hometown,” was released in August.

Fans will hear the band’s greatest hits like “Burnin’ Up” and “Only Human,” along with material from Joe Jonas’ pop band DNCE with the single “Cake By The Ocean,” and Nick Jonas’ solo hits “Jealous” and “Chains.”

Limited tickets are still available for Tuesday’s show. Here’s what to know before you go.

How much are Jonas Brothers tickets in KC?

Interested concertgoers looking to buy last-minute tickets to the Jonas Brothers at the T-Mobile Center can buy them on Ticketmaster at face value prices.

Prices start at $51.45 in the upper level, $78.45-$102.27 in the lower level and $126.50-$242.15 for floor seats.

Who’s opening for the Jonas Brothers?

Opening for the Jonas Brothers is The All-American Rejects, the Stillwater, Oklahoma-based pop-punk icons with hits like “Gives You Hell,” “Swing, Swing,” “Dirty Little Secret and “Move Along.” They haven’t released a new album since 2012, although they have a new one set to come out this year.

They’ve maintained popularity since their debut album in 2002, and a new segment of fans were introduced to them through a series of pop-up concerts and low-key backyard performances.

The All-American Rejects popped up at a frat house at the University of Missouri in May, but the cops shut the backyard show down early due to a “violation of several local ordinances,” according to CNN.

Mark Fitzgerald, the Columbia Police Department’s assistant chief of police, said in a statement to CNN that the officers who responded listened to a couple of songs before the patrol sergeant told the band and their security staff the rules. He said they “allowed the band to play a final song before they ended the concert.”

“The Sergeant told me that he knew exactly who the band was and listened to them a lot while he was in college,” Fitzgerald said. “The Police Department would be happy to have The All-American Rejects return and play in Columbia, hopefully with the proper permits and approval.”

When will the Jonas Brothers take the stage?

T-Mobile Center’s website says the doors open at 6:30 p.m. The All-American Rejects perform at 7:30 p.m., and the Jonas Brothers take the stage at 8:45 p.m.

If your cellphone provider is T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile or MINT, you can enter through the expedited T-Mobile gate on Grand Boulevard when all doors open.

The venue is cashless, so you can only buy concert merchandise with credit and debit cards or contactless payment methods, like Apple Pay.

What can and can’t I bring to T-Mobile Center?

T-Mobile Center does not have a clear bag policy, but the venue encourages fans to pack lightly when attending. Your bag should not be larger than 12” by 6” by 12”. Don’t bring backpacks or chain wallets.

These other items are not allowed inside:

  • Artificial noisemakers
  • Beach balls and balloons
  • Cameras with detachable lenses
  • Coolers and containers
  • Laptop and tablet computers
  • Outside food and beverages
  • Pocket knives
  • Selfie sticks
  • Spurs
  • Umbrellas with spike-like points
  • Any type of weapon, fake weapon or object resembling a weapon

Where can I park for the concert?

Downtown Kansas City has parking available near T-Mobile Center. The arena offers on-site parking in the magenta lot at 14th and Oak Streets, the red lot at 12th and Oak streets and the yellow lot at 13th Street and Grand Boulevard, which is the KC Live! garage.

You will have to purchase passes to these lots in advance online. The magenta lot costs $191.61 and both the red and yellow lots cost $30.79. Event parking opens three hours before the concert.

There are also over 40,000 parking spaces in the downtown area. Many are paid lots, but free street parking is available on a first-come, first served basis. You can also park farther away and take the free KC Streetcar to the stop 14th and Main streets, the closest to T-Mobile Center.

You can’t park on Grand Boulevard and Oak Street in front of T-Mobile Center, since these streets will be blocked off for the concert.

If you’re being dropped off by a family, friend, Uber or Lyft, they can take you as close to the 13th and Oak Street entrance as possible. They may also drop you off on streets that aren’t blocked off in the Power & Light District or farther away if walking isn’t an issue.

The same is true for picking up concertgoers after the show. Communicate with your driver so they can find you once the show’s over.
