MO man sentenced to prison for promoting prostitution of minors during Super Bowl

A Missouri man accused of transporting two minors from Dallas, Texas, to Kansas City in 2023 to engage in prostitution during Super Bowl LVII has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri.

JoeMarius Green, 25, pleaded guilty to one count of transporting a minor across state lines to engage in prostitution in January, and a federal judge in U.S. District Court in St. Louis handed down the 152-month sentence Friday, the Department of Justice said in a press release.

According to a plea agreement in a case for Green’s co-defendant, Chantel Robinson, 21, the two promoted two minors, who were both homeless runaways who they met in Texas, for prostitution.

Stephanie Zipfel, an attorney for Green, declined to comment Monday.

Green allegedly transported the group for prostitution and rented a hotel room in Kansas City for those activities, prosecutors said. After a few days, Green allegedly took the group to St. Louis to continue the activity, prosecutors said.

Green allegedly managed online advertisements, rented hotels, set price points and received cash for the acts, according to court documents.

Robinson was sentenced in July to 41 months in prison after pleading guilty to a count of possession of child pornography, prosecutors said.

Robinson allegedly admitted to engaging in commercial sex acts, taking sexually explicit and suggestive photos of minors and posting online ads, they said. She also oversaw the encounters while Green was away, prosecutors said.
