If people didn’t know much about Creed Humphrey’s girlfriend before the Chiefs-Ravens game Sunday, they do now.
People magazine described Ana Demmer’s quiet transition from long-time Chiefs fan to NFL WAG in a feature posted online Friday.
The 27-year-old Kansas City native, who still lives here, began dating Chiefs offensive lineman Humphrey more than a year ago.
She called the WAG life “insane.” Early on they tried to keep their relationship under wraps. But it’s certainly come with perks, including going to the team’s Super Bowl ring ceremony last year and going to a party hosted by Humphrey’s teammate Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.
She told People she has developed a close-knit group of friends among the other WAGs of the team’s offensive linemen.
Sunday’s game against the Ravens was the second home game of the new season, bringing a new batch of behind-the-scene looks from the local WAGs. Demmer shared photos of the tailgate party Humphrey’s family hosts every home game.
The group, called Creed’s Crew, travels to Arrowhead in a van “balancing barbecue on our laps and making sure the cheesy corn isn’t spilling on anyone,” she said.
They invite other WAGs and family members to join the party that always includes traditional shots of Fireball. Sunday they did espresso Jell-O shots from Pitchside Coffee, founded by KC Current players.
Another perk? Freebies like the Chiefs-themed Crocs she wore Sunday.
Here’s what some of the other WAGs did before, during and after the game.
Gabby Esposito of Overland Park, cornerback Trent McDuffie’s girlfriend, had a cute meet-up with a stadium cup with McDuffie’s face on it. Esposito is a graduate of the University of Arkansas.
Layla Murray, who dates punter Matt Araiza, showed her game-day fit of jeans and a denim corset that had Araiza’s No. 14 embroidered on the front. Araiza helped her celebrate her nursing school graduation over the summer.
Linebacker Cole Christiansen’s wife, Morgan, also shared her game-day fit that included one of the clear-plastic purses the Chiefs gifted the team’s WAGs.
Online fitness coach and entrepreneur Laura Kruk, engaged to wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, wore a graphic T-shirt with her fiance’s name on it.
