Chappell Roan’s fans love quirky concert themes. Here’s what KC fans should wear
Midwest Princess Chappell Roan is returning home next month, and Kansas City fans are expected to dress up in her iconic style.
Roan’s fans will “take this city” on Friday, Oct. 3, and Saturday, Oct. 4, for the “Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things” pop-up concerts in Kansas City.
The pop star’s home state of Missouri is one of three locations for the mini tour, which starts in New York City and ends in Los Angeles.
Each night, approximately 30,000 fans will “get it hot like Papa John” at Museum and Memorial Park, which is the lawn area in front of Liberty Memorial and the National World War I Museum and Memorial. Tickets for have already sold out for the two shows.

What is the theme for Chappell Roan’s KC concert?
Roan announced on her official fan club Instagram page that Kansas City fans will keep on dancing at the Pink Pony Club.
Both Missouri shows will have the same theme, which the post illustrated with photos of Roan’s butterfly Coachella costume, pink glitter eyeshadow looks and beadazzled pink cowboy hats.
If you already planned a different outfit, you won’t be the only one branching out from the theme. Commenters on Instagram and Reddit said they’re going to the Kansas City shows in moth wings, mermaid outfits and Renaissance looks.
What do people wear for the Pink Pony Club theme?
Since most of Roan’s shows are themed, there are many photos of Pink Pony Club looks from previous concerts.
At Roan’s last show in Kansas City in April 2024 concert, photographer Molly Whiting made a stop motion of fans in line at The Midland. Pause the TikTok to peep the pink outfits.
In Seattle, street fashion photographer Karya Schanilec documented a variety of concertgoers, including male fans and attendees with various body types.
And across the pond, London fans donned tiny cowboy hats, pink bandannas and a crocheted “Hot to Go” top, as shown in this video.
Back in early 2023, Roan herself made a TikTok twirling in a bedazzled bra and sharing inspiration for Pink Pony Club concert outfits.
