Questions surround a Kansas City concert the day after a decomposing body was found in a car registered to the singer.

D4vd, a 20-year-old singer who gained fame on TikTok, was scheduled to perform at The Truman in The Crossroads on Wednesday night. According to social media reports, the concert went on as planned.

Tuesday around noon, Los Angeles police responded to a “foul odor” coming from a 2023 Tesla in an impounded lot, law enforcement told local TV station ABC7. In the front trunk, police found a bag with decomposing human remains.

The car, which had been in the lot for two days, was registered to David Anthony Burke, the legal name of D4vd, ABC7 reported.

ABC7 said Los Angeles police intended to speak with the registered owner of the car.

The Houston singer is known for TikTok viral songs “Here with Me” and “Romantic Homicide.” He has been performing on the Withered World Tour for over a month, and opened for SZA in 2023.

Hours after the body was discovered, D4vd took the stage in Minneapolis, TikTok videos confirm.
