Kansas City’s countdown from zero is just a few ticks away, leading up to this iconic nu-metal band’s return to the city.

Linkin Park makes their way back to T-Mobile Center on Sunday, Aug. 31, performing for the first time in the venue since 2011 and since lead singer Chester Bennington died in 2017. Remaining band members Mike Shinoda, Dave Farrell, Brad Delson and Joe Hahn made sporadic appearances in the last seven years, and now new lead vocalist Emily Armstrong is hoping to carry on Bennington’s legacy while writing a new chapter with the band.

Tickets remain available for the band’s From Zero World Tour stop, named after their 2024 album. Fans can expect to hear songs from the newest album and classics like “Numb,” “In The End,” “What I’ve Done,” “Papercut” and more.

Here’s what to know as Kansas City gets one step closer to the show.

How much are Linkin Park tickets?

Ticketmaster shows tickets are available for Linkin Park’s in-the-round stage setup Sunday.

The cheapest ticket is $76 in the lower bowl of T-Mobile Center. Other seats in the lower bowl range from $80 to $163 per ticket. Seats in section 106 have the same prices and are reserved for Linkin Park Underground members, the band’s fan club.

General admission tickets on the arena’s floor are $194 per ticket. Only resale tickets remain in the upper bowl on Ticketmaster, starting at $116 in section 217.

Resale ticket website SeatGeek has upper bowl tickets available, starting at $91 in section 223.

When does Linkin Park perform?

Linkin Park is scheduled to take the T-Mobile Center stage at 8:55 p.m., but the venue says the schedule is subject to change.

Opening act and experimental pop musician Jean Dawson performs at 7:40 p.m. The T-Mobile Center doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Fans can start lining up at 11 a.m. Sunday in front of the entrance on Oak Street.

If your cellphone provider is T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile or MINT, you can enter through the expedited T-Mobile gate on Grand Boulevard when the doors open. The venue is cashless, so you can only buy concert merchandise with credit and debit cards or contactless payment methods, like Apple Pay.

What can and can’t I bring to T-Mobile Center?

T-Mobile Center does not have a clear bag policy, but the venue encourages fans to pack lightly when attending. Your bag should not be larger than 12” by 6” by 12”, and don’t bring backpacks or coolers. These other items are not allowed inside:

  • Artificial noisemakers
  • Beach balls and balloons
  • Cameras with detachable lenses
  • Coolers and containers
  • Laptop and tablet computers
  • Outside food and beverages
  • Pocket knives
  • Selfie sticks
  • Spurs
  • Umbrellas with spike-like points
  • Any type of weapon, fake weapon or object resembling a weapon

Where can I park in downtown Kansas City?

Downtown Kansas City offers numerous parking options near the T-Mobile Center. On-site parking is available at the magenta lot at 14th and Oak. Other nearby options are in the red lot at 11th and Oak streets and the yellow lot at 13th Street and Grand Boulevard, which is the KC Live! garage.

You will have to purchase passes to these lots in advance online. The magenta lot costs $195, the yellow lot costs $41.71 and the red lot costs $34.75. Event parking opens two hours before the concert.

Other than those, there are over 40,000 parking spaces in the downtown area. Many are paid lots, and street parking is available, though it may cost up to $40 during events like these.

You can also park farther away and take the free KC Streetcar to the stop 14th and Main streets, the closest to T-Mobile Center.

Where can I be dropped off and picked up for the concert?

Grand Boulevard and Oak Street in front of T-Mobile Center will be blocked off for Linkin Park’s concert for fan safety.

If you’re being dropped off by a family, friend, Uber or Lyft, they can take you as close to the 13th and Oak Street entrance as possible. They may also drop you off on streets that aren’t blocked off in the Power & Light District or farther away if walking isn’t an issue.

The same is true for picking up concertgoers after the show. Communicate with your driver so they can find you once the show’s over.
