Naked man enters Lawrence home, interrupts young girl’s slumber party, police say
A young girl’s slumber party “abruptly ended” in Lawrence early Sunday morning after a man entered the residence, uninvited, and removed his clothes, according to a Facebook post from the Lawrence Police Department.
Just before 2 a.m. Saturday, Lawrence police officers responded to a neighborhood near the intersection of West 21st Street and Louisiana Street, where they found “several young girls and supervising adults extremely upset,” according to the post.
Officers learned two girls, who were asleep on the couch, allegedly “woke to see a naked man in the home,” according to the post. The girls called for adults.
The naked man, who police have not identified, traveled to the back bedrooms where another man forced him out of the residence, according to the post.
A team of officers arrested the man nearby, while another team worked to calm the children and get details about the incident, according to the post.
Officers “have no reason to believe” the naked man knew anyone at the residence, according to the post.
