A motorcycle driver was seriously injured after a wreck in southwest Kansas City, police said.

Officers responded to reports of a collision at West Gregory Boulevard and Wornall Road around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.

A preliminary investigation showed that an Infinity drove west on Gregory as a Harley Davidson motorcycle drove south on Wornall. The motorcycle then failed to stop at a red traffic light, entered the intersection and struck the front end of the Infinity, according to a crash report.

The Harley-Davidson driver was ejected from the motorcycle. Paramedics transported them to a hospital with critical injuries.

As of Wednesday morning, the motorcycle driver remained in critical condition.

The driver of the Infinity was not injured in the collision, police said.

Police continue to investigate what led to the crash.
