Missing 70-year-old man with dementia last seen at Hampton Inn found safe

Update: White has been found safe, according to KCPD.

The Kansas City Police Department is looking for a missing 70-year-old man last seen at the Hampton Inn Kansas City Southeast.

Wendell White went missing at 9484 Marion Ridge Thursday morning. He checked out of the hotel and has not been seen or heard from since, according to police.

His vehicle, a gray 2022 Honda HR-V with Oklahoma license plate PAJ717, was last seen traveling east near Parvin Road and Corrington Avenue.

Police said White is believed to have dementia or may be actively experiencing episodes of cognitive impairment.

White is a Black male. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He is bald, has brown eyes and wears glasses. He was last seen in a black shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about White or his vehicle should dial 911 or call the Kansas City department at 816-234-5043.
