Police search for missing teen last seen in south KC neighborhood

The Kansas City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a juvenile who went missing Wednesday morning.

Jamea Mitchell, 14, was last seen between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the 11700 block of Winchester Avenue, according to a news release.

Mitchell is around 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 185 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and possibly red Crocs.

She is believed to be at risk, according to a news release.

If anyone has information on her whereabouts, they are urged to contact the KCPD missing persons unit at 816-234-5043 or call 911.
