Each week, Wayside Waifs spotlights two pets available for adoption at its Kansas City area shelter. And this week through Sunday, July 20, adoptions are only $25.
Remy
Meet Remy, 4-year-old Lab mix with a heart full of love, a tail that never stops wagging, and a serious passion for snuggles.
His shelter friends have called him the “canine embodiment of sunshine!” He is just a happy, wiggly boy who loves life. Remy also really enjoys staying close to his people and making them happy. He wears the title of “lapdog” proudly, so if you are ready for unlimited love and cuddles, Remy might just be the guy for you.
In other news, not only is he a joy to be around, he’s also a great roommate. Remy is housetrained, crate trained and has even lived with cats before. So, if you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate and clean roommate, come meet Remy at Wayside Waifs.
Al
Looking for real sweetheart? Meet Al, a 2-year-old tabby with a heart full of love and a cute voice that’s ready to sing your favorite songs. We are just sure he would win first place in America’s Got Talent.
He may have started his life as a street-smart stray, but deep down, Al was always meant to be a lap cat. After all his time outside, he has discovered the joys of warm laps, soft blankets, and kind humans.
Al is also FIV+ and feeling great, but that does mean that he must stay inside. He has traded alleyways for affection, and he couldn’t be happier about it.
Al is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to his people. If you’re sitting down, there’s a good chance Al will be trying to curl up next to you, or better yet, right in your lap.
