Powerball ticket bought at this KC area gas station nets winner $50,000
One QuikTrip gas station in the Kansas City area helped someone become $50,000 richer.
A Missouri Lottery player purchased a Powerball ticket for the June 25 drawing at the gas station at 1450 NE Highway 291 in Lee’s Summit, not thinking he’d win this time.
The winning numbers on June 25 were 2, 12, 37, 51 and 61 with a Powerball number of 22. His ticket matched four out of five white-ball numbers and the Powerball to win a $50,000 prize.
“I play in pretty much every drawing,” the winner said. “I’ve won a bunch of smaller prizes but never something like this.”
The winner said it was unbelievable and exciting to win the draw game. Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. The jackpot for Saturday, July 12, is estimated at $234 million.
