The Independence Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a truck that is suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run at a bar Wednesday.

An aggravated assault happened around 2:30 a.m., at Rhinestone Cowgirl, 11703 East 23rd Street South, according to a news release.

A dark colored diesel Chevrolet Silverado with Iowa license plates allegedly struck a person outside the bar. The victim was in critical condition Wednesday.

Police said in the news release that they believe the suspect is a white man with no facial hair. He has a tall, slim build and is around 35-40 years old.

According to police, the Chevrolet truck may have damage on the front end.
