Gas leak fuels Kansas City house fire
A gas leak fueled a blaze that destroyed a reportedly vacant house in Kansas City early Thursday.
Firefighters responded to the fire about 3:30 a.m. in the 3600 block of Bellaire Avenue. Firefighters discovered that a leaky gas pipe and called crews from the Missouri Gas and Energy to cap off the gas line, according to media reports.
Fire crews brought the fire under control about 5 a.m.
There were no reported injuries.
